03. composition
(a) Each group is a loop made up of transitions and key-frames that correspond to the tiles.
(b) Once the computer selects the tile the code animates the tile starting from 6 key-frames earlier and ending in the selected key-frame.
(c) In this case the tile is rotated by 90°
(d) The colours and shapes of tile ‘I’ positioned on A1 determines the colours and shapes of all other tiles
Rules on proximity
(a) The colours of both sides of the central tile match colours of the sides of the neighboring tiles
(b) Only 1 side of the central tile matches the side of the bordering tile
(c) If there are 2 colors on the side, the dominant color is considered. In this case it is yellow
(d) If there are 2 colors in the same percentage on the side, the choice of color is random.
Formation (proximity)
Formation (groups)
The composition always starts from the centre - C3
The + sign develop into C2. C3 and C2 perform as single tile - group ‘k’
B2 and B4 are the eyes - group ‘u’
C4 is the mouth - group ‘b’
The computer randomly pick a tile and its orientation. In this case one from group K rotated by 90°
to 15. The tiles are randomly selected and combine themselves following the criteria of proximity as previously explained
